The most important way to Prevent hypertension is to achieve early detection. Middle-aged people need to measure blood pressure regularly, especially the overweight people, and people who with family history of hypertension. People are needed to be educated, and know what causes high blood pressure, understand the occurrence and development of hypertension, improve self-care awareness, actively cooperate with doctors and fight the disease. We must not judge by feeling that they have not suffering from hypertension, because the disease may not have any symptoms at an early stage, once the symptoms had already developed to the late stage, then treatment will be quite difficult.
Improvement of lifestyle (ie, non-pharmaceutical interventions) is an important part of prevention of hypertension. The survey found that a majority of hypertensive patients is due to long-term adverse lifestyle factors. Especially those with family history of hypertension, overweight, old age, lack of physical exercise who were addicted to heavy salt, optimize lifestyle.
